we are enjoying a much more even temperature in our split level. our air conditioner has had no trouble keeping us cool in the 90 degree heat. we have far less humidity in the basement. we were told not to expect a great difference in temperature on our glass-sided three season room. That has not been the case; the insulation easily makes it 10- 15 degrees cooler on the porch. It is a huge difference! The installers were great; efficient and clean. Cannot sing their praises enough. It was miserably hot. Sorry we didn't do this 40 years ago. So much more comfortable, and are saving so much energy. They did an air infiltration test before and after they insulated. Huge differnce. This is the best use of our money in 20 years. My only reservation is the ceiling patches will need more help from a painter than I expected.
